Al Faisal Holding was established by H.E. Shiekh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani as a small trading company in spare parts in the 1960s in Qatar, to become later a notable conglomerate known as Al Faisal Holding with many divisions operating under its umbrella; Property, Hospitality, Trading, Transport, Education, Services, and Information Technology Division.

The main purpose of the job is to support and assist the Project / Facilities Manager and the facilities team in all work procedures and other tasks as assigned by the Project / Facilities Manager.

To assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing of technical activities to ensure project maintenance accuracy and quality. The Project Civil Engineer is responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing civil activities (unless specified individually) and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of the site.

To be a successful Civil Engineer, you should have the ability to work with multiple discipline projects like Villas, Apartments, Residential / commercial high rise towers and demonstrate excellent project management and supervision skills. You should also have excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision making skills.


Responsibilities

Inspects and ensures the upkeep of the area is always maintained.
Visits/inspects site daily and reports discrepancies if any to Facilities Management Agent for corrective measures.
Follows up on civil works and asset preventive maintenance schedules, reactive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
Regular check and follow up on security incident reports and damages to property for further action and resolution.
Manages insurance claims process on accidental damage to property.
Conducts site visits along with Facilities Management Agent / service provider to ensure all notable issues are attended and observed.
Audits predefined percentage of completed work orders.
Completes operation and maintenance to be monitored and recorded through electronic system.
Manages completion of tenant comments / feedback. Work with nominated facilities management companies to ensure the building systems and infrastructure are prepared to install and operate equipment and provide building services in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Daily walk around on site for all issues related to the common area.
Attends reported issues from tenant / clients and ensures closure on time.
Monitors/updates daily the service request and follows up with the Facilities Management Agent / service providers and vendors to ensure timely completion of job.
Reviews & approves scope of works for the corrective maintenance and new requirements.
Completes follow up on PR raised and coordination for site execution of works until completion.
Follows up on a snag list/taking over snag list.
Verifies repairs and replacement request from Facilities Management Agent / service providers.
Investigates special complaints.
Ensures that projects snags are monitored and closed on the agreed time.
Ensures the upkeep of all Civil & Building fabric services.
Maintains records of maintenance and prepares reports to the management as required.
Prioritizes and plans tasks well and complete tasks within set deadlines.
Raise Purchase Request to the procurement department.
Prepares condition survey reports on assets as and when required by the management and ensure to provide action plan for rectification.
Coordinates with other departments when and as needed.
Coordinates with stores and Facilities Management Agent / all subcontractors for the delivery and completion of all the works.
Coordinates with Facilities Management Agent / service providers for any lack of
maintenance/scheduled adjustments.
Coordinates with Service providers for awarded job.
Coordinates with Leasing Department/Property Management Department teams for any events or new set ups assistance required.
Perform activities conforming with QHSE Policy, applicable regulatory, company QHSE rules and requirements.
Ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards through reporting practices if unsafe or adversely impacting environment, participate in scheduled QHSE training program.
Assist in accomplishing organization’s efforts to meet or exceed QHSE goals and plans.
Recommends improved QHSE practices to management.
Manages SWMS & RA for all works.

Requirements

Minimum Graduate degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
About 7 to 10 years of experience in similar role in a large facility management company.
Effective technical skills.
Project management and supervision skills.
Preparing Works schedules.
Problem solving skills.
Flexibility to work in any shift, time, or extended shifts during requirement.
Interpersonal skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Commercial awareness including budget management experience.
Able to define scope of works and produce tender documents.
Self-motivated and team player.
Experience in Project management tools.
