The purpose of the job is to manage the Kuwait Credit portfolio; it entails the preparation, review and provide appropriate recommendation for credit facilities in KUWAIT. The role also entails monitoring and management of the portfolio to ensure adherence to all risk appetite parameters.
Prepare credit proposals, and examines adherence to risk acceptance criteria with the aim to safeguard the standards of the bank’s credit portfolio.
Provides prompt advice and operational support to Relationship Managers and ensures timely response to credit proposals while maintaining credit appraisal quality in order to contribute to the bank’s strategic goals.
Constantly liaises with the business units and provide updates and explanation on credit policy and guidelines and other credit related matters to ensure adequacy of resources and appropriateness of procedures and processes.
Ensures timely availability of required information to VP Credit MEA and Head of Credit EAMEA for credit decision making.
Participate in client relationships through client visits / conference calls as part of transaction initiation and monitoring
Provide guidance on due diligence, risk assessment, risk rating, and documentation to corporate credit analysts and other internal counterparties (CAD, Legal etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
University Graduate /Chartered Accountant/CPA/Finance qualification with minimum 3 years of related experience.
10 to 15 years working experience in Credit with good knowledge of the Kuwaiti market.
