To meet the UAB Board Financial Performance expectations.
Primary day-to-day accountability for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all Operations activities.
Work closely with the CEO and the senior leadership in Management Committee (MANCO) to implement strategies and management decisions across the Bank.
1. Strategic Management & Planning and Controls
Support function for new products and service and Business units.
Issue operational guidelines and internal procedures to Operations units.
Ensure the smooth running of Operations daily transactions and the BAU.
Establish internal procedures for the functions in the departments.
Review and control of all reports related to the department.
Ensure adequacy and correctness of accounts under ownership and reconciliation.
Responsible for managing quality, productivity and training standards.
Ensure the security of the bank’s financial and physical assets by checking the adequacy of the documentations obtained, ensuring that the bank is not exposed to any undue risk in handling the operations
Demonstrate, creative thinking and ability to try new process while providing knowledge and direction for the subordinates in the department.
Monitor & Govern activities of Operations.
Follow up on audit reports to correct errors/weakness and avoid repetition.
2. Leadership, Management and Process improvements
Planning and organizing the departments function to meet the target.
Inspire team effort amongst the department staff to improve performance.
Manage efficiently multiple area to solve business issues.
Manage the resources to meet the department and banks goals and assist in establishing in strategic direction / goals for area of responsibility.
Coordinate with Business units and all other departments on outstanding issues.
Coordinate with all operations units for conduct of activities and operational issues.
Knowledge Skills & Experience:
Graduate with IT/ Commerce / Finance / Business background.
10 years relevant experience in a progressively responsible leadership role.
Full knowledge of Operations and understanding on Information Technology and Project Management in the banking sector.
Strong communication in English – verbal and written.
UAE National candidates preferred
