Ability to speak and write in English and French fluently.

Effective communication skills, with the ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships externally and internally.
Established network of relationships with labels and/or artists.

About The Job

As a Strategic Partner Manager on the Content Partnerships team at YouTube, you’ll have a unique opportunity to create long-lasting relationships with your portfolio of partners, and to apply and hone business skills in an entrepreneurial environment. You’re comfortable working on complex content agreements with partners, as well as working cross-functionally with colleagues across multiple disciplines, to ensure our partners are positioned for success on YouTube and to provide the best possible experience for our users.

The aim of the YouTube Music team is growing labels, artists, and songwriters online, building successful careers for artists and business models for the music industry on YouTube.

As Label Relations Manager, you’ll be responsible for providing ongoing relationship management to a roster of YouTube’s label partners, and a select group of artists/managers, with a focus on supporting labels and artists with promotional opportunities to help build their success. In this role, you will interact regularly with counterparts at labels and also collaborate closely with internal teams.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining YouTube’s relationships with a number of artists. This includes fostering their engagement on the platform and use of our tools and resources as well as guidance on growing their audience, and partnering with YouTube/Google in ways that are mutually beneficial.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong personal relationships with label contacts to receive information about music releases.
Oversee, filter, and prioritize music releases, centralizing and communicating information to internal stakeholders whose programs and products are promoting artists.
Facilitate label interaction with other internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Artist Relations, Programming).
Partner with internal label business owners to ensure strategic approach to holistic relationships.
Lead the day-to-day artist relationships, collaborating cross-functionally to select artists Google works with, prioritize and set expectations both internally and externally related to how Google can develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
