From this perspective, the main purpose of this role is to support the Head of Investment Risk and Performance as the team develops and enhances it services by:

Co-ordinating the day to day activities of the team to ensure accurate and timely delivery of reporting
Conducting statistical analysis of portfolio/ market risk, and present findings
Overseeing development and maintenance of the key investment risk analysis, risk reporting and performance systems used by the investment risk team
Identifying areas where improvements are required to risk reporting and then drive these to completion, taking control of projects end to end

About the role

Work closely with the existing team to deliver high quality investment risk management information for committees, forums and regulatory reports.
Work with the team to create enhanced quantitative risk solutions and tools for the risk and investment functions.
Understand the technical nature of investment risk (asset classes, risk methodologies, risk sensitivities and types, key market trends etc.) and be able to report on these in clear and concise fashion, both written and orally.
Able to communicate effectively within the team and beyond to senior members of the company as required.
Self starter who can deal with sometimes incompletely specified problems, working with the right personnel to ultimately find improvements or efficiencies.
Be a team player ready to help as and when required.
Automate key reports and deliverables across the risk and performance desk.
Take lead in developing and running Brinson based performance and risk attribution systems.
Develop and manage quant analytics dashboards for the multi asset desk.
About you

Degree level qualification within a numerate or scientific discipline.
Advanced degree or professional qualifications desirable.
Good quantitative and programming skills with proficiency in Excel VBA and experience of using large data sets and databases is essential.
Prior experience of working with VAR, stress testing, scenarios analysis, liquidity and factor risk decomposition would be useful.
Knowledge of FactSet would be highly beneficial.
A good working knowledge of the financial services sector, both buy and sell side, with a focus in the Investment Risk and Market Risk areas. Good awareness of best practise within the industry for risk management and performance requirements.
Experience of working on ESG projects preferable.
